I have been mountaineering and trekking, all over the world, for over 40 years and am a qualified UIMLA International Mountain Leader (I.M.L.) which is the highest internationally recognised qualification for leading walking, trekking and snowshoe trips worldwide.
I have extensive worldwide experience from taking scientists deep into the Antarctic while working for the British Antarctic Survey. I was based there through out the year and took support personne ski touring, climbing and travelling in Antarctic mountains, both in summer and the extreme conditions of an Antarctic winter
I have also led trekking expeditions in the European Alps, Japanese Alps, Madagascar, Patagonia,Nepal and Africa.
I am also a fully qualified teacher with experience teaching both primary and secondary ages. Working with local Duke of Edinburgh Award groups, facilitating adventurous activities for local authority youth service groups and instructing school children in climbing, walking and kayaking.
I enjoy the challenge of working in the outdoors, with individuals and groups of all ages, providing enjoyable, challenging and safe experiences. Please get in touch to discuss how I can help you with your own adventure in the UK, Europe or further afield.
